Search Engine Optimisation or SEO, is all about making your website appear within the Search Engine’s results page(s) – it is an on-going process which requires time and effort. Digital marketing services operate all over the world now, just search for your local seo agency or digital marketing company. The traditional approach to SEO is split into two areas: On-page & Off-page SEO. On-page factors are all about how Search Engines read the website and off-page are all about authority.
Search Engines have many different ranking factors; in fact, there are over 200 of these factors, from the text on the website right through to how someone is talking about your brand on other websites. Some brands use agencies to help with their marketing and some brands decide to bring the whole functionality in-house. This is usually dependent on operational and financial structures of the company. Most large brands have a tendency to outsource this type of work to digital agencies.

Search Engines have continuously evolved over the last decade – where it was easier to create an SEO campaign back in the early 90’s, Search Engines are much more advanced and perform at better-enhanced levels. The current emphasis on SEO revolves around the saying that ‘content is king’. This is to say that a brand that creates engaging content for their users, will be rewarded by better engagement and natural visibility. A term now is known as branded content.
The end goal of any SEO campaign is to improve online visibility when users and/or potential customers are looking for the products/services you sell. Being visible within a Search Engine, for the correct terms can be very profitable for businesses who make use of it.
